12 year old Nanda had an amazing day Thursday January 6th, so amazing we are pretty sure she will remember for a really long time. Nanda had the chance to spend her whole day with none other than both Christian Beadles and recording artist Temara Melek at America’s 1st Theme Park, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.

Nanda had the opportunity to not only meet both Christian and Temara, but also ride alongside them in a couple of ride attractions at the theme park. The day was made possible after winning an online auction to which all proceeds go to ‘Let Them Play,’  an organization that is committed to providing children who otherwise cannot afford to play youth organized sports.

• It’s simple; donate your gently worn jeans at any Aéropostale or P.S. from Aéropostale store in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. These jeans will go to a homeless teen in need in your community, and you’ll get an additional 25% off a brand new pair of jeans.

On February 25, 2012 at the Avalon in Hollywood.Temara shined on the carpet in her red dress in Support of “Guard a Heart” and their campaign to prevent heart disease. Temara talked about the campaign to the media how important it is for everyone to get checked.

Larry King was honored for his work with the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, King was awarded the “Guardian of Hearts Award” by Doug Harrington, M.D., The mission of Guard a Heart is the prevention of heart attacks through greater awareness of risk assessment options and healthy lifestyle choices.

Midnight Red performed for the crowd. Also performing were Sabrini Lentini, Savannah Robinson and the duet “Brandon and Savannah”.

Temara had just opened at Knottsberry Farm for the “Guard a Heart” Midnight Red Concert a week earlier.

“Temara”, a new pop star artist who has two songs out on music video and writing her EP now, which will be released in April.  Temara is working with writers: Stacy Jones, Mike Schmidt, Cassadee Pope.

Tarik Ellinger, Temara’s younger brother, who is an actor,  attended as well.

Ventura County’s 3rd Annual Rising Star Dance Competition is taking place Saturday. March 10th at Buena High School’s Auditorium in Ventura, CA. The proceeds from this show will be donated to the Destined to Live the Good Life Children’s Orphanage in Zambia, Africa. This charity event is the first ever amateur dancing competition in Ventura County, and has been attended by over 1400 people in the past 2 years, raised several thousand dollars for the 30 children in the home, had the most unique and creative dancers from all over California competing for awesome awards and prizes, tons of multimedia coverage/exposure, and featured celebrity guest judges/hosts/performers from all over the nation.

Temara Melek has achieved more in her years of life than most people who triple her age. She is a true triple threat with a humble disposition which seems to make her that much more charming.  Temara has been traveling back and forth from Los Angeles since she was 6 years old as a working actor, dancer and model. It all started after winning first place awards at the Championship of Performing Arts in Burbank, CA where she signed with a manager and shortly after, an agent. At age 12, she and her family finally made the move from her hometown Ft. Collins, CO to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. “I have been very blessed to do what I love,” says Temara.

Temara recently filmed the Funny or Die skit called “Scary Girl” with Chloe Moretz. She can also be seen in the feature film 16-Love as well as on TV shows like Standing Tall at Auschwitz, Modern Family, Incurables, as well as a sketch with Andy Milenakis, which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live. She had a blast playing the lead in a film called Fairy Knowledge directed by Chris “Doc” Wyatt who produced Napoleon Dynamite. Temara can be seen in many national commercials for the Humane Society, Intramed, EZ Curler, as well as a PSA for the Governors Council for Physical Fitness. She has starred in  DVDs for Faithweaver and Sing & Play. You can also catch her on several print campaigns for companies such as Edward Jones, Roper Western Wear, FamilyFun, and HP Cameras.

Temara got her start dancing at the prestigious Westin Arts Academy at age 4. Her natural abilities put her on the map at age 7 as she was invited onto the competitive dance teams. She has competed/ trained in all areas including hip-hop, tap, lyrical, breaking,ballet, modern, musical theatre and jazz. She has placed first in competitions for her hip-hop solos as well as duos, trios and group dances. She has won scholarships for jazz and hip-hop to the well-known dance conventions JUMP and NUVO. Her abilities have also won her Loveland’s Got Talent as well as a spot in the Orange Bowl half time show with choreographer Shane Sparks (You Got Served and America’s Best Dance Crew). She has trained with top choreographers such as Mischa Gabriel, Tony Testa, Bobby Newberry, Mia Micheals, Shane Sparks, Dave Scott and many others.

Temara started singing Broadway and Pop at age 6. At age 9 she portrayed Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka singing “I Want It Now”, which won her the first place trophy in a state competition. She took the same song to Vegas in an International Competition and took home “Best Character Vocal”. Now she has turned her focus on becoming a recording artist and has co-written songs with award-winning writer and producer, Jonathan George of JG Entertainment, Stacy Jones, Mike Schmidt (Miley Cyrus’s Team) and Cassadee Pope (Lead singer of Hey Monday)

Her first single “Pour It On Sweet” (released June 2011) , is a hot dance track that has hit worldwide. She shot a music video that featured youtube star Christian Beadles, which earned her over 17 honors her first day on youtube. Now the video has over 700,000 views. Her second single, “Burn It Up”, was released September 19, 2011. This video features amazing choreography and showcases her dance skills. It has earned close to 200,000 views so far. Both videos were directed and produced by Spittn Image. Choreography by Shawnette Heard and Zae Northy.

Temara is very passionate about her charity work and started her own organization in 2007 called Little Wishes and Big Dreams. She has since donated over $75,000 in monies as well as goods to childrens and animal charities all over the world. You can find the page dedicated to her organization on facebook. She is involved with UNICEF, Realities for Children, ASPCA, Greenpeace, Christian Childrens Fund, American Cancer Society as well as many others.
