I had the honor of attending the DoSomething.org Teens for Jeans Kickoff Party. It is a wonderful project that helps homeless teens in your community. Here is some more info so you can get involved!

  • DoSomething.org and Aéropostale have teamed up for the fifth year to encourage young people to donate their gently worn jeans to homeless teens.
  • It’s simple; donate your gently worn jeans at any Aéropostale or P.S. from Aéropostale store in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. These jeans will go to a homeless teen in need in your community, and you’ll get an additional 25% off a brand new pair of jeans.
  • All jeans donated are given directly to charities in the local community.
  • The goal of this year’s campaign is to collect one million pairs of jeans by getting teens to donate gently worn jeans at any Aéropostale or P.S. from Aéropostale store and through school drives.
  • The school that collects the most jeans will win $5,000 and brand new Aéropostale jeans for every student.
  • 1 in 3 homeless people in the U.S is under the age of 18.
  • 1 in 45 children in the U.S. are homeless.
